Fruits and Vegetables

Momma always said to eat your fruits and vegetables.  Here's a list of the Dutch equivalents.

Product selection is really good here.  The Dutch are big fruit and vegetable eaters.  You can get fresh produce at markets, grocery stores, greengrocers as well as at farmer's stands. The quality is excellent and prices are usually less than the American counterpart.

A lot of produce is grown in Spain, Israel and Italy.  Surprisingly, you'll find an abundance of produce grown locally as well.  Most grocers will list where the produce comes from.

Organic selections are growing more everyday.  Just look for the word biolische on the packaging.
