Meat, Poultry and Fish Products
Oh boy, you
are in for a treat, if you're a meat-eater. Meat cuts are totally
different. Ask for mercy at the Slagerij, (Butcher's shop). They may
be able to explain the cuts of meat. We'll make an attempt, but by no
means is this complete or necessarily correct.
At the
Slagerij, you can also ask for special cuts of meat and different wild
game. Give plenty of notice and they might be able to provide for you.
The slagerij
carries beef, pork and chicken. These are the big three in The
Netherlands. With pork and chicken being the big two.
The quality of
meat is excellent. However, there is usually very little fat left with the
meat, so be careful when preparing it.
