NAWC Membership

It's so easy

Are you a citizen of the U.S., Canada or Mexico?   Do you hold a resident alien card for these countries?  Or are you married to a national?  If you can answer yes to any of these questions and you live in the Eindhoven region, you are on your way to being a member.

How do you join?  Annual dues are Dfl 5,00 payable September 1st of each club year.  This covers the cost of postage and supplies, so that schedules and membership lists can be printed and distributed.  We hope that you'll plan to attend one of our get-togethers to learn more about who we are and what we can do together, with your participation!

Over the past several years, some club traditions have grown out of our shared interests and concerns.  Celebrating North American holidays is a fun way of keeping our cultural roots alive, especially for families with young children.

As you can tell by our name, we've expanded our focus to meet the needs of North American citizens.  But our meetings continue to include the same kind of informal mix of women, who like sharing ideas and companionship around the kitchen table. Many of us belong to other international organizations as well, but we value this opportunity to visit with each other in members' homes and other small, casual settings.

What is our typical calendar for the year?  We try to vary our activities, so that working women or women with preschool children are able to participate in evening or weekend events.  Generally, dinners are scheduled for the first Tuesday of October and January.  A Halloween party is coordinated with the school calendar, falling on the Wednesday afternoon closest to October 31st, and we always look forward to a 4th of July picnic, on the Saturday nearest to the 4th.  (We're looking for members who are willing to share Canadian and Mexican traditions, as well.)  Pot luck lunches, starting at 11 AM, are scheduled for the first Tuesday in September, November, February, April and June.  (We regret that children can not be accommodated at these daytime meetings due to space and safety constraints.)
