Raine's World

My name is Raine and I am eight years old. My family moved to the Netherlands two years agor from Wisconsin, USA.  I miss my gramas and grampas the most. 

I go to a Dutch school.  I speak Dutch all day long.  I can speak it better than my mom and dad. Ik praat nederlands beter daan mijn ouders. I had a very good report card.  My teacher, Juffrouw Bianca thinks I'm doing great with Dutch.  

I have both Dutch and English friends.  Alex and I both speak English and are in the same class at the basisschool. I have another friend, Derriel, who comes from Georgia.  

I am on a gymnastic team.  I have practice every week.  I can do headstands for 25 seconds.  My favorite gymnastic routine is the uneven parallel bars.  I'm really strong. I want to win a trophy. I also am taking swimming lesson and tennis lessons.  I am a really good athlete. 

I got a puppy in November 1999.  Her name is Cita.  I like to play with her.  She chases me and likes to bite my hair.  I take her for walks around the block. She sleeps in my room at night.
